Tool

Wooden spoons

Stirs without scratching and won't melt.

What it is and why it matters

A wooden spoon is the basic stirring tool for soups, sauces and doughs. It doesn't scratch pans, won't melt, and stays cool to hold. The flat edge scrapes up browned bits from the bottom of the pot.
