Terms of use

Your account

Anyone 13 or older can join. Keep your email secure; anyone with access to it can sign in as you.

What you post

You keep ownership of the recipes and reviews you post. You give Simmerbee a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, adapt for formatting (for example cook mode, scaling and unit conversion), and promote them on Simmerbee and its social channels. You can ask us to remove your posts at any time. Only post what you wrote or have the right to share; ingredient lists are fine, but don't copy someone else's written instructions. We may also use posted recipes in anonymous, combined statistics (for example the most-used ingredients).

Photos

Only upload photos you took yourself, or that you have the right to share (for example, a friend gave you permission). Don't upload stock photos, photos from other websites, cookbooks or social media, or photos with someone else's watermark, and don't upload photos that show other people without their permission. You keep ownership of your photos and give Simmerbee the same license as for your recipes: to host, display, resize and crop them, and show them with the recipe on Simmerbee, in search results and when a recipe is shared. Every photo is reviewed before it appears, and we may decline or remove any photo. Anyone can report a photo with the "Report this photo" link under it, and we remove infringing photos when we're notified (see Copyright below).

Moderation

New members' recipes and reviews are read by a moderator before they appear. We may edit formatting, decline, or remove posts, and suspend accounts that post spam, abuse, unsafe food advice, or things that aren't theirs. Our decisions are final, but you can write to us.

Food safety

Recipes are shared by home cooks. Use your judgment, follow safe cooking temperatures, and check ingredients for allergies.

If something here, a recipe or a photo, infringes your copyright, use the "Report this photo" link or send a notice to dmca@simmerbee.com with: the work, where it appears on Simmerbee, your contact details, a good-faith statement, a statement under penalty of perjury that you're authorized, and your signature. We'll take it down promptly and tell the poster. A member whose photo was taken down can send a counter-notice to the same address. We remove the accounts of repeat infringers.
