9x5 loaf pan
The standard size most quick bread and sandwich loaf recipes expect.
What it is and why it matters
A loaf pan is the deep rectangular pan for banana bread, quick breads, meatloaf and sandwich loaves. Most recipes are written for the 9x5 size, so using it keeps baking times close to what the recipe says. A smaller or larger pan changes how long the center takes to cook.
