Fine-mesh strainer
Silky custards, sifted flour and rinsed grains.
What it is and why it matters
A fine-mesh strainer is a bowl of tight wire mesh. It strains custards and sauces until smooth, rinses rice and quinoa, sifts flour and dusts powdered sugar. The fine mesh catches what a colander lets through.
