How to measure vegetable oil

  1. Liquids: use a clear cup on the counter and read it at eye level.
  2. Thick things (sour cream, cream cheese, peanut butter): spoon them in, press out air pockets, level, and scrape the cup clean.
  3. Butter: cut at the wrapper's tablespoon lines; a stick is 8 tablespoons.
  4. For the same result every time, weigh it: put the bowl on the scale, press tare, then add vegetable oil to the weight above.
