Pots and pans

Roasting pan with rack

Holds a whole bird or roast and catches drippings for gravy.

What it is and why it matters

A roasting pan is a large, sturdy pan with low sides for a whole turkey, chicken or roast. It catches the drippings you need for gravy and often comes with a rack to lift the meat. A heavy pan can go on the stovetop to make the gravy right in it.
