Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk, plus more as needed
  • 2 bananas, frozen, broken into chunks
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • ¼ cup rolled oats (optional)
  • 1 tsp honey
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (optional)
  • ½ cup ice

Steps

  1. Pour the milk into the blender.
  2. Add the frozen bananas, peanut butter, oats, honey, cinnamon, cocoa if using and the ice.
  3. Blend on low to break everything up, then on high until thick and completely smooth.
  4. If the blender stalls, stop it, stir with a spatula and add a splash more milk.
  5. Pour into glasses and serve right away.

Tip: Peel and slice bananas before freezing. Frozen peels are very hard to remove.

Tip: Use certified gluten-free oats, or skip them, if you need it gluten-free.

Storage: Best right away.
